Your First Piercing: What to Expect at XS

A first piercing should feel exciting, not stressful. Here is how a visit to any XS studio works, from booking to heading home with your new piece.

Book or walk in

Book online and choose your studio for a guaranteed time, or walk in when availability allows.

Bring the right ID

Minimum ages depend on the piercing — for example lobes from 5, nostril and septum from 14, navel from 16 and nipple or dermal from 18. Photo ID or guardian consent may be required.

Choosing your jewellery

Your piercer will help you choose jewellery suited to a new piercing and to your anatomy.

Aftercare

Follow the aftercare instructions your piercer gives you, and contact the studio or a healthcare professional if you have concerns while it heals.
